A Technology-driven Fishing Tournament: The Talbot Tidewater Challenge is conducted using an online Tournament Management System (TMS). The TMS is called TourneyX and the website address is www.tourneyx.com . Each angler who wishes to participate in the Talbot Tidewater Challenge MUST create a TMS user account before the online registration cutoff date by downloading the Tourney X Pro iPhone or Android app to their smartphone.
Angler registration for the event, the payment of the tournament entry fee, and the participant's acknowledgement of the liability waiver and release, is done through www.tourneyx.com or the TourneyX Pro mobile phone app.
Important Notice to Anglers: When installing the TourneyX Pro app, you need to ensure that you enable “notifications”, “location services”, access to your phone's camera, and access to your photo library. There is a helpful video for installing the TourneyX Pro app at www.tourneyx.com/app/help
Registration is $50 ($25 under 16) and can be done on the App by searching for Talbot Tidewater Challenge.
Kayak/Canoe/Stand-up Paddleboard - non-motorized vessels only.
Minors: are eligible to participate with signature of a parent or legal guardian on a special waiver & release form for minors. Please contact the Tournament Director at TalbotTidewater@gmail.com for a copy. Liability waivers and release forms for minors must be signed by the parent or guardian and received by the Tournament Director prior the Captain's Meeting to be eligible to participate in the tournament. . Minors must always be under constant and close supervision by their parent or guardian while participating in the tournament.
Tournament Format: Inshore Grand Slam - Prizes are based on the total length of your top 3 fish (one from each species)
Fishing will begin at dawn Saturday, October 17th in the waters from the St. Mary's River to the St. John's River.
Tournament ends at and all photo submissions must be received by 3p.m. October 17th.
Prizes: First Place $500 - Second Place $350 - Third Place $200.
Bonus prizes: 3 prizes of $150: Longest length for each of the 3 fish species.
Kids Under 16: 3 prizes of $50 longest length for each of 3 fish species.
Captain's Meeting: will be held virtually Friday October 16th at 7 p.m.
Awards Ceremony: will be held virtually Saturday October 17th at 7 p.m.
Each registrant will receive a tournament logo tshirt and 2 tournament logo koozies.
